Counterfeit Island Balloon Boy Must Be Saved!
If you’ve played the new Poptropica Counterfeit Island yet or seen the Counterfeit Island Walkthrough video yet (check out Part 1 – 1:00 into it) you know that in this mission you give a green balloon to a little boy. When he takes it, he flies up into the air and you don’t see him again. A little bit later, when you return to the Web Cafe, you’ll see him again on the TV screen flying off up into the clouds.
This is all a joke that the Poptropica Creators made and it references the famous Balloon Boy Hoax from October 2009, which most of the USA was glued to their TV sets watching a weather balloon in Colorado. Everyone thought a young boy was trapped inside but it turned out to be a hoax and he was hiding in his attic the whole time.
But what happens to Poptropica’s Balloon Boy? He is definitely not safe in an attic. He’s grasping onto a balloon for dear life as he flies up in the clouds. When we finish the mission (see the full walkthrough here) no further news of Balloon Boy is given. Did he land safely? Where is he? Did he go to another Poptropica Island? Perhaps he went to Reality TV Island (that would be perfect, because in the real-life hoax, the parents were trying to get their own Reality TV show!)
Regardless, we want to know that Balloon Boy is safe!

I think I know how we got the meteor thing! Balloon Boy floated to space and found Dr.Hare, and the balloon lead them to a planet, where they found some meteors, and Dr. Hare used it to mutate poptropicans with it! I know that Dr. Hare caused it, cause it said it on http://poptropicasecrets.com/

I can’t finish the Counterfeit Island Quest because the gaurds are so hard to get past! I really want to save Poptropica’s Balloon boy and see what happens. Although, I still can’t say that I hate “www.Poptropica.com.” Who ever is the “Moshi Monsters Rule! 1#fan” here’s some advice, and this is for everyone: If you want to go to Counterfeit Island on Poptropica.com make a new character and play 5 islands that are avaliable and that you know how to finish. Then buy the ticket to get to Counterfeit island! By 1/4/10 check Poptropica to see if it’s avaliable to all. PS. it’s hard to get the quest done but with the brain and and instuctions it should pass by like a flash! Bye! 🙂

I feel so guilty for making get up there. ( Was there too much helium in the balloon or something.)I’d use the Robin Hood costume (No offense for taking partial of whoever’s idea that was) and shoot the balloon with the arrow (note:IF) if they gave you actual arrows to use. And I would have him land in wherever he flew above in a soft feathery bed covered in pillows.
uh yeah, he lost a lot of weight so that’s why he can float around in a balloon.
