Well, we have all known for a while that the new island will be called Cryptids Island. And now it has been officially announced by Poptropica. There’s a new Cryptids Island page on the Poptropica web site that gives some details. The release date still hasn’t been announced, but you can learn a little bit more about the story behind the island. It’s sounds very cool! Here’s what the Cryptids Island info page has to say:
An eccentric billionaire is promising a big reward to whoever can prove the existence of cryptids — hidden creatures. The hunt is on for Bigfoot, Nessie, and other legendary beasts. But watch out: you’re not the only one in search of these monsters…and your competitors will stop at nothing to find them!
So it sounds like we’ll be competing with others in this quest. Maybe it will be just like Reality TV Island? And I don’t know, but something about the look of this eccentric billionaire tells me he could turn out to be the villain at the end. We’ll just have to wait and see.
I’m gonna say, yes, the billionaire is the villain, and the reason why he wants us (and others) to find the innocent creatures is so he can make a cryptid zoo! And, maybe at the end we, and the other players will combine together to take down the nemesis!

Cool! I think that one of the competitors will be the villain and he will turn the cryptids against you and then you have to defeat him then the billionaire gives you the medal and 100 credits.
