Good morning, Poptropicans! The big news of the day is that Twisted Thicket Island arrives in just a few hours. The creators posted a sneak peek of the in-game map yesterday (see below). It seems the new island will have thirteen different zones to explore. I’ll be playing the island as soon as it comes out and posting the walkthrough as quickly as I can. Also, this time around we’re going to do a live help session in the forum. You can join in to get help as soon as the island launches (no need to wait for the whole walkthrough to get posted).

The Twisted Thicket Island Map
In other news, the sneak peeks for April are taking shape and we’re learning a lot about the next island after Twisted Thicket. It’s definitely a Greek-inspired Olympic themed island. My guess at the name is…ready for it? Poptropolis Island and I think it’s actually a modern-day island where they re-create the ancient Greek version of the Olympic Games. Here are a few clues from the sneak peeks:
In the above image, the name of the city is clearly Poptropolis, which is of course a play on words for Poptropica and the ancient Greek suffix of “opolis”, meaning city. You know how a big city is called a Metropolis–yeah, that’s ancient Greek. So could the new island be called Poptropolis? We’ll have to wait and see, but it’s a good name.
The creators even snuck in a Balloon Boy reference into the sneak peeks, with this picture of some hot air balloons. The title was Balloon Boy but the caption seems to indicate we won’t see our intrepid traveller on the island, which is too bad. I miss Balloon Boy!

Okay, Okay! No offense intended! But i think you’re taking the hints the wrong way. The fire, battling, and entrance can also be hints to the Poptropolis island thing! They are all aspects of the Olympics! And i dont think there are really tracker jackers, they can be any insects!

Hi guys, so i know there was that Hunger Games & Harry Potter costume party/competition hosted by poptropfan, yesterday at 8:45 EST/7:45 Ccntral (yeah the time got mixed up a bit) but everyone had to dress up as someone from either the Hunger Games or Harry Potter. I dressed up as Effie Trinket, who was the announcer for District 12 in the Hunger Games, and i figured it would be cool to share my costume with you. Since i’m not a forum member, maybe one of you could share this on the forum, but here it is! Im pretty excited, because this is the first costume i’ve vever posted 🙂 Hope you like it!

This costume (for girls, only, sorry guys) is pretty cheap, you only need 75 credits to buy the SOUTHERN BELLE costume. Other than that, its just a lot of costumizing and running around. 😀
1. Costumize Hair from lady in 24 carrot (the one in the Charlies store who needs the cat). You can also use the hair from the person wearing the Earth Day T-Shirt on the prize you earn from completitng the Earth Day Quest.
2. Costumize the Southern Belle costume’s dress, the lower and top half, and her peral necklace(optional, although effie DOES wear a lot of jewelry). You might want to use the reddish dress, but any will do.
3. Costumize any earrings from someone you find in a common room, island, etc. I used the dangly gold ones with two pearls. Any will do.
4. Costumize the side bang from anyone you see.
5. Costumize any lips, prefferably ones that arent too big and smiley, ones that look elegant, and still, but are still smiley ones. Some examples include the Pop Star’s lip, the fairy princess’s lip, etc. But really, i used ones that made her look like Effie!
6. Go to the 24 Carrot Diner, and make a drink that is light pink in color, so you can color your character’s hair light pink.
And thats about it!!! Once again, hope you like it!
