Crood Stuff: Caveman Outfits and More

 

It doesn’t take long adventuring around Poptropica to see that they put interactive ads on many of their islands. Some of the ads are more interesting than others and the latest, a promotion for the caveman-themed film The Croods, is pretty good, if only because of the new costumes available!

Here are the steps to find the goodies:

1. To find the content, go to Shark Tooth Island and head right until you see the big cave with the Crood characters. Enter.

2. Start by clicking on the Jungle Room. All three rooms are Common Rooms, where you can chat and battle with other Poptropicans. The costume below is available in the upper right part of the room.

3. In addition, at the bottom right of the room, you can get a musical shell, which is pretty darn cool.  There’s also an item that plays a short video of a monkey. Not super great, but if you’re into collecting everything Poptropica has to offer, then grab the monkey too.

 

4. Once you’ve got the first caveman costume, the shell, and the monkey, go to the exit and choose the next room: Tree-Top Room. Girls will be able to find costumes at the upper left of the room. (Sorry, no promo pics, Zippy Turtle doesn’t have access to those costumes.) At the bottom right of the room, you can get two powers: Gran’s Amazing Cane which twirls when you activate it and Sandy’s Speed Crawl which makes you crawl across the room and back really fast. I’m guessing there’s a super fast baby in the film?

 

5. Boys need to go to the third room, the Sun-Lit Room. Jump up to the top of the room to get the two costumes. You can see they’re fairly plain caveman costumes.

 

 

6. At the bottom right of the Sun-Lit room you can find two more powers: Grug’s Super Punch and Douglas’ Stick Trick. The first one makes you punch the ground really hard. The second summons a Croods character, their prehistoric alligator-dog, and makes him fetch a stick.

Overall, not the most exciting content Poptropica’s ever produced, but it’s always nice to get more costumes!
