Starting Your Adventure
When you arrive on Big Nate Island, you'll immediately notice the comic book style and humor that makes this island unique. Head right to Main Street and prepare to explore this quirky school-themed island.
Collecting the Comic Strip Pieces
Your first major task is collecting 8 pieces of a torn comic strip scattered around the island. This comic holds the secret to finding the time capsule!
Comic Piece Locations:
1. Pop-In Shoppe: Go to the top floor and check the green couch 2. Say Cheese Photo Store: Look on the light to the right 3. Main Street: Check the telephone pole wires 4. School Entrance: Click on the broken loudspeaker 5. Science Lab: Click on the solar system model (planet) 6. Construction Site: Look on the steel beams/scaffolding 7. Playground: Check the playground structure (climbing dome) 8. Lighthouse: Climb to the very top of the lighthouse
Assembling the Comic
Once you have all 8 pieces, go to Klassic Komix and use the table to reassemble the comic. The correct order reveals Big Nate's locker combination: 9305. This is crucial information you'll need soon!
Essential Items to Collect
The Chewing Gum
After completing the comic, talk to Gordie at Klassic Komix. He'll give you a pack of gum as a reward. This isn't just any gum - it's special Big Nate bubble gum that you'll need for detention!The Scuba Gear
Go to Say Cheese photo shop and look at the old school photograph. The shop owner will notice you're interested and offer to trade it for scuba gear. Accept the trade - you'll need this equipment later for underwater exploration.Creating the Stink Bomb
Enter the school and go to the Science Lab. Mix chemicals in the right proportions to create a powerful stink bomb. The correct formula involves combining blue and yellow chemicals. This will be your ticket out of detention!The School Mission
Getting Into Detention
1. Go to Big Nate's locker and enter the combination 9305 2. Inside you'll find school blueprints 3. Go to the main hallway and chew your gum 4. Click on your character to blow a bubble 5. Mrs. Godfrey will catch you and send you to detentionEscaping Detention
1. Once in detention, use your stink bomb 2. Mrs. Godfrey will leave the room due to the smell 3. Quickly move the file cabinet blocking the secret passage 4. Enter the secret room and grab the bell clapperThe Race with Nessie
Head to the playground and place the bell clapper on the bell. Ring it, and the girls will leave, allowing you to get the peanut butter crackers they left behind.
Go to the lighthouse area and challenge Nessie to a jet ski race. You'll need to:
- Navigate through the buoys in order
- Avoid obstacles
- Beat Nessie to win the lighthouse key
The Underwater Adventure
Put on your scuba gear and dive under the school area. You'll find Cap'n Salty's treasure room with a special lobster trap. Grab the lobster - you'll need it as a tool!
Turning on the Lighthouse
1. Use the lighthouse key to enter 2. Climb to the top 3. Go outside to the light mechanism 4. Use the lobster as a "wrench" to turn the light crank 5. The light will point to a specific location - Seal Rock
