Poptropica Cheats and Secrets Cheats, Walkthroughs and Secrets for Poptropica
There’s been a lot of cool stuff in Poptropica this year. We’ve seen some recent announcements like the Legendary Swords mini-game and some earlier hints about improving the backpack and costume interface. But one thing we haven’t seen a lot of this year is islands. Yes, Poptropica is up to 22 announced islands, and that’s quite a bit, but after they introduced paid membership last year and promised more islands, I would have thought that they’d be releasing a lot more.
So far, there have been five public island releases this year, starting with Cryptids Island. The last public release was Shrink Ray Island on July 28, a full two months ago! Yes, Mystery Train Island is out for members, but the creators haven’t announced when non-members will get to play. I’m guessing sometime around October 9, which would be a month since it came out for paid members. We just got an announcement that Game Show Island will be coming out, but there’s no dates available for the members-only or the public release.
Update: The launch date for Game Show Island (for paid members) was just revealed: October 20!
Once Mystery Train does finally come out for everyone, it will have been at least two months since non-members got to play a new island.
So it is at least possible we’ll see seven public releases in 2011 if Game Show Island comes out by the end of the year. And to be totally fair, that’s above the average since Poptropica has been running for four years now. But I kind of expected more. What do you think? Is seven enough? I think that there should definitely be more islands. That way, it keeps us entertained. We can always find something else but I like islands the most.

WHAT I WANT: i think they should have……
some sort of mermaid island. or fairy island. (not to sound all 10-year-old-girl-ish)
BMX bike, extreme sports, or the olympics island. (that would be so cool)
wizard/magic island
some sort of island where you create a hit TV show or movie.
some sort of island where you have to be a TV news anchor. (i do that at my school!)

AND i have a great cheat on Money Ladder for NON-members… shall i tell you?…
Ok, well basically, if you get to a question you don’t know, or are not sure of, then click on the circle where you’re supposed to get help from the experts. HOWEVER if you are a non-member you don’t get to use them, so it will come up with a box saying something along the lines of ‘you have to be a member to use this feature. Do you want to become one?’ And when this box is up, it will give you enough time to go search the internet and find out the answers to the questions.
Then you just click on ‘No thanks’ and click the right answer.
It really works! (well it did for me anyway…)

I love islands, I could always use more islands, but…I guess I can wait.
For island ideas, try taking a trip to Colonial Williamsburg at the end of next June and gather info for a historical “Town is taken by the redcoats, see what you can do to help the patriots” island or at the beginning of October for ideas on a “Continentals are in Williamsburg, be a spy for Washington and spy on Cornwallis in Yorktown” island :). I love Williamsburg and that would be really cool! (Btw, if the idea for a Williamsburg island isn’t that bad, “Under the Redcoat” and “Prelude to Victory” are the events that will provide easy reseach.)
I would especially like to get more colonial costumes, even if the island idea never gets past here :). I love my current costume, but what’s next??? (See avatar studio: “Busy Seagull!” to see what I chose.)
