No, I know Poseidon’s Trident isn’t that rare…BUT I know you guys must have items and outfits that you’ve collected over the weeks and months (and years?) that are! Based on the excellent suggestion from a slightly-bored Wild Star, I want to see what items you guys have in your Poptropican backpacks that are rare. What could they be? Limited edition members-only items that you got before the island was available to everyone (like the Cryptid’s Nessie hat below), items that were special giveaways from Poptropica to celebrate some milestone, or even items that were part of promotional content that were only in Poptropica for a short time (like the Crood’s stuff that’s out now)?
You know the drill. This is essentially a costume contest for rare items. Here are the steps:
- Find the items and outfits in your backpack that you think are really rare or at least only a few Poptropicans have
- Equip the item and/or outfit, then open the Avatar Studio
- Post the link in the comments section below
- With the link, include the name of the item and/or outfit and where you got it, if you can remember
- KEEP the item and/or outfit equipped until next Tuesday, March 19th so I can grab a screenshot of it
I’ll post all the outfits next Tuesday and you can vote on which Poptropican is wearing your favorite rare outfit!

This is my avatar! I’ve been here since the first six months after Poptropica started, so I had a hard time choosing what to wear.
– Hair: Nothing rare about it; I just like the bangs and hair π
– Glasses: Thanks to your cheats, I found the hidden Hypnotic costume in the island!
– Wand and Dress: This is from the Disney Fairies promo from about 2-3 years ago (?). It’s “Rosetta’s” outfit, and if you press spacebar, the wand makes glitter come out
– Wings: From My Littlest Pet Shop promo from roughly 3-5 months ago.
– Belt: From a limited-edition costume in Red Dragon island. You had to win in sumo wrestling a certain amount of times to get it.
– Pants/pegleg: From a Poptropica book sample promo code. You have to read the excerpt to get the code. The costume’s called “Skull Pirate”.
– Mouth: Grape flavored gum from the limited-edition costume promo in Shrink Ray Island. When you press spacebar, it blows out purple bubbles.
– Jacket: This may be more common than others, but I love this jacket. It’s from the retired “Rock Star” costume.

It’s my costume
Ughhhh….. I have been feeling sick lately, not the cough-sneeze sick. My body feels frail, and whenever I walk, it’s as if I’m drunk- even though I’m not. I easily get cold or hot. I have had the same weak feeling during Winter Break. Spring Break is almost over, I don’t wanna miss a day of school. I’m afraid I’ll be behind in schoolwork or something.

My outfit is angel who lost her leg when she was battling Captain Crawfish because she was too distracted with her music.When she was 5 (she was 10 when she died)she was a Swan Ballerina and she loved her dress and she wore it for all her recitals. When she was 8, this really nice boy gave her his Biker jacket on a cold, rainy day. She has a dagger strapped on her belt (like Peter Pan) because she wants to be safe. Even though she has a welcoming smile, she is prepared for the unpredictable!
BTW, she has glasses because her glasses have special lenses that help her see.She was blinded after her mother gave her to an orphanage and a special scientist/doctor helped her by making a diamond-quallity lenses.

That is my costume. The mouth, hair, and dress are a Tinkerbell promo from way back when and they can’t be copied, the jacket and skirt (god that’s ugly together!) are from Monster High (I’ve lost everything else though), the goggles are also from way back when it was available to nonmembers (on a mini quest sort of thing). I also I the stuff from the Wild West demo, but the tonic (which I used) didn’t show up and nor did the third birthday balloon show up. All in all, I’ve learned that grabbing the rarest items in my wardrobe creates the ugliest combination the world has ever seen.
