Round Two of the Poptropica Island Smackdown comes to its final battle. After this, we’re on to the Final Four. In this last confrontation for the round we have Great Pumpkin Island squaring off against Counterfeit Island.
Great Pumpkin is of course very new, released this past Halloween. It is set inside the world of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang and you play out the island just like the script of the television special. You’ll go trick or treating, attend a Halloween Party and even help Snoopy the World War I flying ace fight the Red Baron and sneak behind enemy lines. Great Pumpkin Island is a short adventure, but it’s packed with several fun puzzles and mini-games.
Counterfeit Island arrived a little over a year ago and became one of the most popular islands in Poptropica. It was a bit of a surprise–everyone was expecting Reality TV Island, but that showed up later. Counterfeit did not disappoint. In this island, you have to stop a powerful and world-famous art thief from stealing Edvard Munch’s The Scream, which is on display at the island’s art museum. There are twists and turns to the plot and a very difficult final battle with the arch-villain, Black Widow. And of course, Counterfeit Island features Balloon Boy, and who could ask for anything more?
Both were fun to play. But only one can win in this head-to-head battle to see who will advance to the Final Four. Which will it be? Counterfeit or Great Pumpkin? You decide…
