Poptropica has announced their next island and it’s…Coffee Shop Island! Thrill to a world of baristas and beans, looking for something cheap to buy so you can use the bathroom!
Just kidding.
They haven’t announced a Coffee Shop Island. But they did post a teaser picture of a coffee shop possibly from an upcoming island? (Those of you who are Poptropica experts — let me know in the comments if this is from an island that already exists and I’ve forgotten about it.)
If this is from a new island, there’s quite a bit we can deduce about the new adventure: at least part of it is going to take place in modern times. While the sacks of coffee and old-timey espresso machine make it seem like it’s the past at first glance, the “free wi-fi” sign and modern fangled soy and milk containers clearly place this in the here and now. I’d say the Poptropica creators are making something that takes place in Seattle, synonymous for its coffee and coffee companies, but check out the window. Aren’t those silhouettes of palm trees? Palm trees mean tropics or at least tropic like, so…an adventure that takes place in Hawaii? Florida? Los Angeles? (I realize I’m being U.S.-centric here, but I’m not sure if coffee shops in Africa, South America, or other warm places with palm trees look the same.)
I realize I could be way off base with this, but that’s part of the fun! Let me know what you think this picture means. And if this is a coffee shop from an island that’s already out, don’t beat up on me too much in the comments, please.

judging by all the contradictions of time/place in this picture, i wanna guess that maybe this is like a sequel to time travel island where time periods and different places are intermingling with each other, like a seattle coffee shop on a tropical island, or old timey espresso machines in places with wi-fi and new fangled milk and such. just blue skying or figuring something out way sooner than i should? only time will tell.

If i was to make an island, it would be called Family island. You will have a family and everything would just be normal, until the day after your ( you get to choose the age ) birthday… YOUR FAMILY GOES MISSING!!! You will have to find them. One( or more) of your birthday presents ( which are electronics ) will help you find them. You can choose the family members in your family, how they look, strict or not .If you have a twin ( no triples or higher ), you can choose if they can help you or go missing with the rest, but no difference will happen if no twin (with twin she/he also help find info no time difference either). You can chose how many B-day presents you get and you get too chose them too 😀
