The Creators posted a strange and interesting screenshot up on the official Poptropica blog today. It’s a picture of a fake chicken strung up to a tree with a bell around its neck. The caption reads simply, You do need a good chicken alarm now and then.
If you look closely, the tree the chicken alarm is hanging from is wrapped with barbed wire. There’s also a green translucent fence in the background. And a broken egg is on one of the branches. Could it be an alarm to warn of something? Oh, I don’t know…maybe a dinosaur attack? I think I’m just really hopeful that the next island on Poptropica is about dinosaurs. What do you think? Will we be seeing Poptropica Dinosaur Island sometime soon?

When a dinosaur comes near, The chicken either freaks out and makes the bell ring if it’s live bait, or when the dinosaur tries to eat the chicken, it makes the bell ring. A good idea, cosidering dinosaurs love their meat and hate their guts. It’s a well-known fact that dinosaurs hate chickens for two reasons: 1. If you were a dinosaur, how would you feel about evolving from a gigantic T- rex to a wimpy little chicken? 2. Chickens have larger brain capacity than dinosaurs, which is science code words for “dinosaurs are dumber”.

My ideas for what the “Chicken Alarm” is are here:
1.I think that the chicken is obviously fake because look closely and you will see that it is sort of patched up with pieces of rags
2.Maybe the wire is some kind of fence.
3.Look at the bottom right corner.There is some kind of blue and yellowish thing.I think it is the roof of some house.
4.The bell might be some sort of thing to warn someone.Maybe to warn the person in the house?
5.The chicken might be somethings bait and if its wobbled or taken off the bell will ring and someone will catch whatever wobbled it or took the chicken off.
6.The egg might be something the animal they are catching laid or some real chicken laid and left there or there is a bird nest somewhere on the tree.
7.If the chicken WAS real,then maybe it was killed by something already and before it was dead it laid the egg but right after it was laid the “Animal” killed it.

*sigh* i didn’t really know his friend. Her name was Jaylee I believe. She died from some disease. smart Paw didn’t really tell me how. He just said she died. I’m not really sad. I’m just shocked. Smart Paw is moody as a ring on a bipolar person. (Getting better.) First he was in denial. Then he was mad. Then he was normal with tiny bit of sadness. Now he wants evryone to leave him alone. hey- poptropica secrets do you realize that the cracked egg has a yolk, and dinosaur eggs aren’t usually portrayed as having yolks. Also, would there really be barbed wire in dino land? And would someone place a bell where it could summon a t-rex? I think it seems more like barnyard island with a wake-up call like a rooster.
Wait-naah. I’m not gonna give up that easy. When I’ve got an idea, I stick to it! (ecxept when I know there’s no chance)
I don’t see the translucent fence O.o. Idk, maybe it could be the rumored “Dino Island”, but like what Greek fan said it doesn’t really look like something that would have to do with a dino themed island. I have no explanation to what this island can be. Although I do have ideas to counter what Greek fan said aswell. 1. This is Poptropica, the egg thing may be like a joke as compared to a real smashed dinosaur egg. 2. If the–what I’m going to call curator–was a cheap person he probably would’ve bought barbed-wire to hold back the dinosaurs, which may be the reason for our being in the island. 3. Maybe it’s a trap to lure a T-rex towards that area to catch it. All of these theories are of speculation of course, and the theories from Greek fan are very ingenious too. I respect your ideas and any others that will come up. I guess we’ll see once the island comes out.
Oh, and I say No. I disagree. I find that Club Penguin is very tedious and that the price for it’s premium membership is outrageous. You can get premium membership on Poptropica for reasonably good pricing. Then again, I haven’t played it in maybe… 2 years? Maybe it has gotten better, but I still prefer Poptropica. It’s more of an enticing experience to use your brain and reflexes to complete a story that you, yourself, partake in. (And yes I know there are minigames in CP that require those skills).
