As many of you are getting ready for the wide release of Back Lot Island, I thought it was time for another costume contest. Based on comments after our last contest, it seems like people want some freedom this time. Well, you’ve got it! The theme for this contest is simply…anything goes! With one small caveat: no Katniss Everdeens (or archers in general). Sorry, as with previous contests, I think we’ve proved beyond all doubt that a bow and arrow and a spiffy woodland outfit is enough to make you Queen of any contest we throw at you. So, please keep your arrows in your quivers and branch out into unexplored territory this time. Thanks!
The Rules:
- Come up with an outfit. No theme, no parameters (besides the one mentioned above), just whatever inspires you
- Deck your Poptropican out in the outfit and open the Avatar Studio
- Copy the link the Avatar Studio provides into the comments section below
- Include one or two lines (please keep it short!) about your outfit or costume. Please take the time to write with proper grammar and punctuation.
- STAY IN YOUR COSTUME UNTIL THE END OF THE DAY NEXT TUESDAY, APRIL 30th. If you’re not sure what end-of-the-day means because of time differences, then just stay in your costume until Wednesday and you’ll be fine
- I’ll grab the images during the day on Tuesday and post the contest that same day

Anyway, this costume obviously has some cray-cray colors. The dress and the blond hair are both from the Polly Pocket ad that came out, like last year. Some elements from the Pop and Rock Star 2 costumes. It describes itself as fun yet edgy.

OK, I’m going to try something new for the contest when I heard all about this – my costume is called Hard Chocolate (this is why chocolate can be frozen, and if it’s fully frozen, then it’s hard to eat). Anyway, this will be something different because what I’m wearing – Hard Helmet (to get you to “knock through objects with greater ease” in the Shrink Shot mini-game) and Candy Bar (I wore this completing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), so if you combine the names, you get Hard Chocolate!

Whenever I start a new island I try and grab some peices of clothing, I think the first piece i got was right back when i started playing and it was a totally random hair piece and this character in the link below is my only account.
So anyway this one is my latest combination and it consists of a Ghost Story tee, a Night Watch badge, face design, and hat, a Lunar Colony helmet, Random grass skirt from who knows where and an awesome orange guitar from the shop.

My costume is really simple: it’s supposed to be a Flaming Phantom Ninja. The phantom effect doesn’t show up for some reason. I used the Ninja costume from the store, the sword in my hand is from the samurai costume and the flames are from the torch effect
