I have lots of favorite places all throughout Poptropica, and one of them is right on Main Street of the very first island, Early Poptropica. It’s the Pop Art Museum, which you can visit anytime to meet three very famous painters and browse through an incredible collection of world-famous art. Talk with any of the painters there and you’ll learn something!
The Pop Art Museum also is an important part of the plot of Counterfeit Island, which is also about the art world.
If you walk inside, you can browse through a gallery of some pretty impressive paintings, including works by Leonardo Da Vinci, Augustus Renoir, Vincent Van Gogh, and many others. In fact, you can meet and speak with Vincent Van Gogh, Leonardo Da Vinci and Georges Seurat right here inside the museum. Click on each of them to speak with them or click on any of the paintings hanging on the walls to get a close-up view.
When you zoom in on any of the paintings, you can see green question marks that you can click on to get more details on the painting and the artist. These are all provided by FactMonster, a sister site to Poptropica.
The art styles are so amazing. It’s great to see a Picasso hanging next to something more classical like a Van Gogh.
If you haven’t guessed, I love art and art history a lot. In fact, I took one of my favorite scenes from Poptropica, the fairy queen throne area from Twisted Thicket Island and used Photoshop to re-make it in each of the styles represented by the artists you meet here in the Pop Art Museum. Take a peek!
