Poptropica Sudoku

Sudoku is a popular pencil and paper game that you typically play solo, just like doing a crossword puzzle. You can play a head-to-head version in Poptropica Multiplayer rooms. Sudoku takes a lot longer to play than the other games, so it’s not very good for quickly improving your battle ranking, but it is a fun and challenging game to play against an opponent.

The object of the game is to complete the puzzle grid by placing the numbers 1 through 9 in each of the squares. The rules are pretty simple. Each row must have the numbers 1 through 9 in it exactly one time each. Each column on the board must also have the numbers 1 through 9 in it. Finally, each individual 9-square grid must also have the numbers 1 through 9. Based on this, you can deduce how to fill each empty square. Sometimes you can narrow things down to one or two options and you just need to guess.

In the Poptropica version, you play against an opponent so it’s a race to see who can score the most points. The player who solves the most squares and therefore gets the most points wins the game. Unlike most of the other games, Sudoku keeps a running total of your wins and losses so you can see how good a player is when you start the game.

Poptropica Sudoku Cheats

There aren’t many quick cheats, as Sudoku is a game of deduction, reasoning and skill. But there are some simple strategies you can use to get more points. First, pay attention to what your opponent is doing. Often, you can let them do the tough guesswork and then jump in and “steal” their spots. Whenever you guess incorrectly on a square, you get a 10-second penalty. That means you can’t move for 10 seconds. When this happens to your opponent, you will get to see where your opponent tried to place the number and what number he or she placed. Use this to your advantage to swoop in and take away their square while they’re penalized.

Another cheat, although kind of lame, is to bail out of the game at the very beginning if your opponent has a lot of wins. If you’re clearly outmatched by a superior player, it might be better to try and play someone else instead.
