Poptropolis Games: Forum Competition

The Poptropolis Games just came out for everyone and it's been a big buzz! Well, I was thinking that maybe here, at the Poptropica Secrets Forum, we could have our own Poptropolis Games!

We will divide everyone into different tribes but instead of having one representative, we'll have a group of them!

You may choose which tribe you'd like to join but there has to be at least 1 person in each tribe. It's okay if the tribes are uneven but it would be greatly appreciated if they were even.

How it works:

• Sign up for a Tribe by filling out the sign-up sheet! (Found at bottom of post)
• Sign ups end on June 25th
• The competition goes on for about 3 weeks
• Restart/start Poptropolis Games on your Poptropican file!
• Each week, you will compete in 3 different events.
• You must do every event if you decide to join.
• You get only one chance to compete in the event (just like in the island.)
• Once you competed, post your score, NOT the place you came in for the event.
• The tribe who won will be announced at the end of each week (with all the places, of course.)

Rules:

• No negativity. This competiton is just for fun.
• Be honest! When you post your score, be honest. Don't try and post a higher score than you really got to make your tribe win.
• Have Fun!!

Questions you may have...
Q: How is this fair if the teams aren't even?
A: Instead of taking the highest score of the group, it's going to do the average. That way, it's fair for everyone.

For example, say in Archery, a tribe with only 2 members get 82 points and 90 points. Their average is 86 points.

This makes the competition fair and even. So, having more people in your tribe can either hurt or help the average.

Q: What happens if one of our tribe members forgets to compete?
A: IF your tribe member notified me that he/she won't be competing for a certain reason and I ok it, then you will compete without him/her.

BUT, if he/she didn't notify me, then that could result in a 10-5% lower on the average... or can take your tribe down a spot at the end of the results.

Q: Where do I post my results after each round?
A: Right here on this thread! Just post the tribe you are in, the event(s), and your score.

It should look like something like this:

Tribe: SilverKnights (not an actual tribe)
Archery: 86 points
Javelin: 150 M
Hurdles: 40.1 seconds

Q: Why do we need to say if we've competed before?
A: It just lets everyone know if you have practiced before or not so we know to expect higher scores or not.

Q: What happens if 2 tribes get the same score?
A: If this every happens, those tribes will have to re-do that event at the end of the competition for a tie-breaker. All from the tie-breaker tribes will compete, and we will get the average score then compare.

Q: What if I can't come online 3 times a week?
A: That's okay! I'm going to post all 3 of the rounds on the first day of each week (Monday or Tuesday depending on time zone.) You can either do all of the events in one day or take your time during the week. You just need to post your results by the end of the week.

Yeah. I'll allow that. Nothing will happen with your tribe if you don't compete while you're gone.

Er... probably not since most can't wait for results to come in... (I know with experience.) You'll just have to start where we are.
