Hi, my name's Sura, but I'm more known as Blue Lion. I'm not sure why or how the nickname came to be, but I'll stick with it. In case you're wondering, I live in Hemlock Harbour, and my family runs the visitor centre of our small town. Doesn't sound odd, right? You haven't heard the full story yet. It is cold. Very.

Shoulda worn my jacket.

I had slipped out to get some fresh air from the center. That, and I got sick of the visitors talking about the exact same thing.

Ghosts.

While it did increase our earnings since more people come, they're not here for the sights, tastes or smells . Mainly, the tourists are mostly ghost-avids..and they come due to our island's haunted past.

They keep yammering about them, wanting to see them. But in truth, ghost-hunting is prohibited by the magnistrate. And yet..they still do it.

Geez. Business is booming everywhere though, from the bakery to the local inn, so no-one complains. Partically the inn-keepers 'cuz they're ghost freaks. Still, there might be more to the spirits than meets the eye..

I confess that I do believe in the supernatural. I mean, lots of people do, anyway. And when you grow up in Hemlock, it's no surprise. But some are crazier than others. Like Lucky Shoe, who wears a tin-foil cone thing on his head. When I ask about it, he says some weird science stuff that I can't wrap my head around. He's so into spirits, he goes to the cemetry after school with some doo-hickey and stands near a grave with eyes closed, trying to hear spirits. I once did an owl's hoot as a prank and he thought it was a ghost. I do it every year, but don't tell him it's me or he'll kill me with boring facts. Eesh.

Stupid bet.

Why in the **** did Jolie tell me to first go to the cemetry for 10min, then not return home till sunrise? Baka baka baka!

Then again, I started the bet about who could eat the most chillidogs in a minute. Sigh.

I'm suprised Mom let me stay out tho', after a loong lecture. Anyway, i'm just gonna sit...WOAH!

5min later...

Got jumped on by a tour guide. At this hour?? What the heck? Anyway, he was tellin' me a bunch 'o stuff about the ghost-sighting hot-spots when he saw the magnistrate. Then made a run for it. Leaving me there.Sheesh.
