What is really good?
1 Dec, Miami, 2pm.
Well, here I am in Miami, a sunny country and home to 'Spin for Riches'! What was the first thing that got my attention? The azure blue sky? Nope. The heat? Not quite. The beaches? Naw. Two Robotians arguing? Oh yeah.
I overheard that the the Robotian had replaced the other, who were hosts of the gameshow, with a faster, newer one. Furious, she had stolen the prizes for the show that day and planned to drop them from a building, destroying them. Of course, I had to step in as the other guy was so frantic, he practically begged me to help him. Geez, why am I always the one?
Anyway, each time I got one of the prizes back, he'd say something that'd creeped me out. He acts like they're his precious. Eek.
Him- Oh, my baby! But two of your brothers are still in danger!
Him- Don't just stand there, save them!
Him- Oh, my darling! Were you scared?
By the time I got the third and final prize, he was going, "My babies, you saved them! Oh thank you!". I can pretty much say that he:
A) has no life, or
B) Is a seriously lonely guy.
Either one or both, up to you. At least I got the ticket. I think I'll back off from him for now. See you in a bit.
An hour later, at the studio, 3.30pm.
Huh, that was kinda alright. 'Spin for Riches' seems more of a game of luck to me, really. Although once you get the hang of it, it get's easier.
To be honest, not much to say about this game. And I can't stay here for long this time, because I received a signal from the jet plane's command panel. Apparently, Dr Harold had some news for me. Bad news.
Meet me at Main Street right away. Be careful, Holmes is looking for you and suspects you of going rogue to overthrow him.
Uh-oh. That wasn't good. I quickly ordered the plane to head for my home, and I flew off at top speed, hoping that everything I've done wasn't in vain.
Main Street, 6pm.
I had landed the plane behind the apartments, so it shouldn't be found. I carefully treaded my way into one of the alleyways. That's when I heard the annoucement from Holmes.
"This is Holmes speaking. I order all robots to arrest and apprehend Shaky Dragon. WHOEVER BRINGS THIS HUMAN SCUM TO ME WILL GET A LIFETIME SUPPLY OF OIL!"
Oh no...at this rate, they'll get me!! I looked around frantically. Where was the Inventor??
"Psst! Down here!" The noise was coming from the manhole near me. Without hesistation, I opened it and jumped in. And landed kinda hard on my butt.
"Oof! Talk about crash landings!" I muttered. I turned to the Inventor. "Where are we?"
"This is Holmes' inner sanctum. He controls all the robots from here."
"Really? So what are we waitin' for? Let's go stop him!"
Dr Harold sighed. "It's not that easy, my dear. He's set up an advanced security system that I can't crack. But maybe you can."
Possible. I've fiddled with machines for as long as I can remember. My close friends and family called me 'Genius' sometimes..but I have never really hacked into those kind of things before. But I've got no choice.
"I'll give it a shot, doc."
"Excellent. If you can reach him, you should be able to reprogram him and end the robot menance." He passed me a thumbdrive that said 'Holmes-Ver. 2.14'. "Upload this code to his mainframe. Take this and go! Goodluck."
I gave a nod and ran to the first security grid. It looked like a slidy puzzle, like the one I had when I was small. Once I knew what I had to do, it was cake. I quicky typed in a few keywords and as soon as it was done, a wall went up behind me and the gate was opened.
"Stop right there, human!" I whipped around and to my alarm, it was a cop-bot! It must have followed me down here! "You won't get away with this!" It's headlight was flashing red and it started to point a laser into the wall, trying to get through. Then, I saw that the grid had changed into a screen.
"Holmes!" I exclaimed.
"I am not impressed. Humans will always be inferior to robots. All of your prize money belongs to me." The supercomputer had a menacing tone to his voice.
"Not on your life!" I quickly jumped into the hatch that would lead to Holmes' core.
I knew I had to hurry, that barrier wouldn't be able to withstand that laser for too long. It's too late to back down now, I had to do this. For my family, my friends. And for a better future for us all.
Give me your best shot Holmes. You ain't gonna take me down that easily.
Bring it on!
Alright you guys! Next entry will be the finale! Woah, that's fast.
Anyway, this was hard..but fun! Yay!
I'll be posting a poll to decide the next fan fiction, if I have the time. So stay tuned <3
Hey Shaky Dragon, I dunno if you've read my Poptropica Blog yet but I would LOVE to feature your stories into my blog. I'll just use your posts and these will all be your credit. Do you want to do it?
Oh, if you guys still want to write your stories, I can feature them if I think they are good enough.
